The peonies seemed to have bloomed overnight! They smell heavenly.
I hate gardening. I love cutting flowers and picking fruit, but that's as far as it goes. That said, I'm so glad that J. likes to garden. He put in the red rock last year and it looks great. We have an amazing veggie patch in the backyard thanks to him too. tomatoes, onions, lettuce, strawberries, rapsberries, asparagus...
Working on: a retirement quilt; a doll quilt; keeping up with the laundry
Enjoying: a good run of movies: Pirates 3, Hot Fuzz, Once (my favourite of the three, it's just a lovely, lovely movie. enchanting.)
Eating: spicy lentils with chorizo; edamame; cherries (the first of the season - can't wait for Rainer cherries!)
Reading: Eat, Pray, Love; Mary Engelbriet Home Companion
