fun to cook book
I've been meaning to post this for forever. This was my mom's cookbook when she was little. Being the oldest of seven, very few toys were actually hers. This totally was, and it is still in her collection. This is a copy from ebay that my sister found. Isn't this girl adorable? It's put out by Carnation evaporated milk. And it really is a FANTASTIC fudge recipe.

oh my gosh, THAT IS GRANDMA'S FUDGE RECIPE.
(except she does 6 minutes and used pet milk, but still... recipes don't lie).
Love love love that fudge, so easy and never gets screwed up.

Mom had this book when she was a child too. : ) Aunt PD bought a reprint for me and Gram gave me a half dozen child-sized aprons from Mom's childhood. What lovely keepsakes, eh?
